With society’s craze over corgis and picture-worthy delicacies, Cafe D’er offers tasty desserts and drinks that carry their corgi-theme and satisfy both demands.

Upon entering, customers are greeted by kind employees and a cozy interior. Not only are the employees welcoming, but they are also very patient when customers are deciding on their often overwhelming choices.

The cafe itself is quite small and can only hold up to 21 customers inside with a few tables outside. It may be difficult to find a table during busy hours, but it is a great place to hang out and study using the free wifi.

One of their recommended souffle pancakes, the Creme Brulee Souffle Pancakes, is presented along with whip cream and fresh strawberries on the side. For the price of $11.95, it is very soft, light and filling. The wait for the souffle pancakes is not too long, but it does not come out immediately. They also offer six other flavors with different levels of density to satisfy one’s sweet tooth.

Customers can choose from a variety of beverages alongside the souffle pancakes or their other snack selections. One option is a refreshing drink for the priced at $4.95 called the Four Season Fruit Tea, which consists of fruits and a perfect blend of tanginess and sweetness.

For customers craving a warm cup of coffee, there is a large selection of caffeinated beverages in two different menus. One menu located at the register offers a variety of drinks, whereas the corgi-themed menu offers fewer drinks but has a more appealing presentation.

The Corgi Momo-Mocha, for the price of $5.50, is served in an adorable, glass corgi mug with a sweet corgi-marshmallow topper. As a hot beverage, it is served at the perfect temperature that does not burn one’s tongue. The foam layer is quite bitter, but the mocha latte itself has just the right amount of sweetness.

Located at 1411 S Garfield Ave., Unit 101 in Alhambra, Cafe D’er is open from 8:30 a.m. – 11 p.m. on weekdays, 11-12 a.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. on Sundays. To order take-out, call (626)545-2091.
