Ingredients: 1 slice of any bread, 1/4 cup of milk, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, a pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, chocolate chips (optional), powdered sugar (optional), butter
Step 1: In your *microwavable mug*, mix the egg, milk, syrup, cinnamon and a pinch of salt for about 1 minute.
Step 2: Butter the bread and then cut it into cubes of about an inch
Step 3: Add the bread cubes to the mug and press down lightly so they submerge in the liquid. Let it sit for about 30 seconds.
Step 4: Add the chocolate chips to taste and stir to incorporate them into the mixture. (optional)
Step 5: Microwave for a total of 2 minutes while stopping every 30 seconds
Step 6: Let cool for about 1-2 minutes.
Step 7: Sprinkle optional powdered sugar on top (optional) and enjoy!
*This can be determined by reading the inside or the bottom of the mug for a microwave safe indication; if not, then fill the mug with 1 cup of water and heat it for a minute. If mug is hot on the outside, then it’s not microwavable, but if it’s cool then it is.
