“We came back this week after playing San Marino and gave it our all to beat the Panthers, but things did not go so well because unfortunately our quarterback, Eddie Herrera, got injured during the game,” said Adrian Sanchez.
Although the Spartans did not score as much as they had hoped, they do recognize that there are certain areas they need to improve on in order to win their first league game against the Montebello Oilers Oct.8.
“Hopefully during this bye week we can tighten our defensive line as well as anything else that needs to be tightened so we can give it our A-game against Whittier and then Montebello,” said junior Mathew Barajas.
