CSF Banquet held May 27 at University of the West

Featuring academic awards and games, the California Scholarship Federation (CSF) will host its annual CSF banquet at the University of the West at 6 p.m. tomorrow.
Ticket prices are currently $18 and open to all CSF members. Senior life members and potential members are required to attend.
Unlike previous years, when the banquet was held in the school library, this year’s banquet will be held off campus.
“This year’s banquet is really one that reflects CSF this year. The location, honors, and everything about the banquet are things that are totally new this year, in the same way most of our club events like Academic Development Day and general meetings were,” said CSF President Cassandra Dinh.
The banquet will include academic games, distribution of graduation cords to CSF life members, and the announcement of the class of 2015 valedictorian and salutatorian.
“I think it’s amazing for Mr. Kim and CSF to put this on for the students because it honors them for all the hard work they’ve done over the years,” said Angel Rios, junior representative. “[The seniors] deserve to be rewarded for their academic studies in the past four years at the school.”
As is tradition, the banquet will also include the announcement of the new officers for the 2015-2016 year.
“I’m looking forward to seeing how [the banquet] plays out and the food that will be served,” said freshman Mellisa Mulia. “I am also excited to watch the games and find out who the new officers will be.”
Tickets are being sold in Room C-202 and by all CSF officers.
“I think this will be a great banquet, especially for seniors because it will be a special one to remember,” said Dinh. “I know a lot of effort has gone into planning this, and I hope everybody enjoys themselves.”
